Rutgers Health Researcher Working to Reduce Food Insecurity Wins Award
From Dr. Pamela Valera
Please join me in warmly congratulating David Carmona, who graduated with an MPH degree in Epidemiology on Friday, May 17, 2024. David is officially working as a state employee in the New Jersey Department, Office of Health Care Quality and Informatics. In his new role, he will expand his skills in various visualization tools, such as Tableau, to improve the quality of health care data.
Congratulations, David! We are so proud of your accomplishments!

While pursuing my MPH degree, APE internship, and capstone, the Community Health Justice Lab has been integral to my academic and professional development, allowing me the space, opportunities, and growth to apply my academic learning and lived experience expertise to real-world, meaningful research and change. When I am not in the lab, I enjoy reading, exploring nature, playing soccer, and volunteering with Results Educational Fund Inc. to advocate for policies helping to end poverty.
